ESAS Governance
1 - The General Assembly (GA)
It is the policy-making
body, incorporating all full members. It elects the Board
of Directors and draw up ESAS general policies. It is
convened once every year. However, extra-ordinary
conventions are possible at the request of the Board or
two thirds of the full members.
2 - Board of
Directors (BOD)
ESAS is managed by an
elected BOD of five members for a three year term of
office. The BOD is entitled to have a free hand in action
except for such actions that require prior consent by the
GA. The BOD meets at least once a month.

3 - The Executive
Office
The Executive Office
is authorized by the BOD to assume the managerial
functions of ESAS. The office includes a General Manager,
a Deputy G. Manager & Technical manager, executive
secretariat and support staff.

4 - The Specialized
Divisions
At present ESAS has
five specialized councils:
- Exporters' council
- Vegetable Seed Council
- Field Crops Seed Council
- Potato Seed Council
- biotechnology Council
- Seed Traders Council
- Food Processing Council
- Tissues and seedurgs Council
5 - Standing Committees
Those are ad hoc
committees constituted every year to implement objectives and to consider specific issues. At present, ESAS has the following committees:
- Policy advocacy committee
- Services commitee
- Code of ethics committee
- Relations committee
